Oct. 15: Honor Diaries to be Screened at the University of Michigan
Ann Arbor, Mich. — The University of Michigan chapter of Young Americans for Freedom will host a screening and panel discussion of Honor Diaries on Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. More than a documentary, Honor Diaries has become a movement that educates viewers about “honor”-based violence faced by women in Muslim-majority societies and how to combat such abuse.

When: Thursday, October 15 at 6 p.m.
Where: University of Michigan: Michigan Union -- Pendleton Room, 530 S. State St., Ann Arbor, Mich.

Why: To educate and bring attention about honor-based violence including female genital mutilation (FGM), honor killings and forced child marriage in the U.S. and across the globe
